About Alliance for Victims' Rights (AVR)
Founded in 2006, the Alliance for Victims' Rights set out to encourage and support ongoing development and coordination of victim services throughout Northern Nevada.
The AVR was established to further the coordinated efforts of agencies and community members, with regards to victims needs. The AVR hopes to become a resource for the community with information and training tools available. Through these efforts, the AVR anticipates a strengthening of agency relationships and an enhanced response to victims, survivors, and their families throughout the criminal justice process.
Through a cooperative effort of agencies and individuals, the Alliance for Victims' Rights will work to improve the community response to victims, raise public awareness of the effects of crime while providing information and resources to those who have been victimized.
